If you’re anything like me - you sometimes feel like you’ve lost your spark or mojo! I’m sure I lose mine at least a few times each Summer as I work my way through what feels like never-ending flower harvests.

This Summer, after a few weeks of feeling I had lost my mojo - I commented to my sister Sandy that I felt like I finally had my mojo back! She commented that she wasn’t sure she’s ever had any mojo! (If you know her, you’ll know that she has plenty of mojo, even if she doesn’t think she does.)

So I decided to name this dahlia Sandy’s Mojo, as a little reminder to her that she has mojo!

Floras ‘Sandy’s Mojo’ is a delightful pompom in a kaleidoscope of colours. Her colour seems to change throughout the season (and as the flower matures), but is a raspberry, pinky, peachy combo with yellow undertones and a darker centre. Sometimes she looks very similar to Wine Eyed Jill (but mini!) I refer to her as a spray dahlia - if you cut the stems long she has 3-4 buds on each stem opening in quick succession. Mature buds continue to open after harvesting. To be totally honest, I found it hard to keep on top of harvesting these ladies - they are very prolific! So you probably don’t need a whole heap of them…maybe just one or two.

And if you’re not sure what mojo is, here’s a definition…
Mojo - refers to a person’s seemingly magical charm, charisma, or confidence that brings them success, energy, and good fortune (and helps them just get the job done!)
