Flora's Blush Whisper

$0.00
sold out

When I saw the first flower from this seedling 3 years ago, I was quietly excited! Perfect form and size (chunky but not too big), and an exquisite colour with a whisper of blush and a hint of dirt. I know it’s a bit unusual to describe your dahlia as a dirt colour, but this is definitely what I would call a dirty blush…and she even has intriguing earthy stripes on the back of her petals. This photo is probably the most blush she has presented herself, often she is much paler.

I wouldn’t say she’s one of my superstar prolific producers, but she makes up for it with class.

There’s something intimate about whispers! You usually don’t just whisper in anyone’s ear – it’s got to be someone who you feel quite close to. We’ve been teaching our granddaughter the art of whispering, and this dahlias subtle beauty reminds me of her whispers

And I still get a little happy thrill every time I spot her blooms opening…she’s a keeper for sure!
